Institute for Community Self-Improvement and Civic Responsibility™ services are currently offered at P.S. 118 in Hollis, Queens via the Hollis Biddies.

The Hollis Biddies Saturday Program is offered for twelve weeks in the fall. Children must pre-register and attend regularly. Activities are offered at the school from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 noon each Saturday, beginning in October and ending in December. Up to 200 children can participate in the variety of activities offered. All programs are run by parent volunteers. Coordination and supervision is provided by an elected, parent Governing Board. Saturday program activities include:

Lifeskills Plus Program - A comprehensive life skills training and conflict resolution program geared toward meeting the needs of urban youth. Give-N-Live Program - A civic responsibility training program that teaches youth the importance of "giving back." Hollis Biddy Basketball League - The main thrust of the league is to conduct an athletic program for youth aged nine through twelve that teaches technique, discipline, teamwork, and integrity; as they savor a dash of pure, wholesome fun. Dance Program - The essence of the program is to instruct youth, nine through twelve years of age, in the art of dance. Through this process, the youth will develop values such as self-confidence, self-awareness and discipline. S.C.O.P.E. Program is the acronym for School and Chores Optimizing Performance Evaluation Program designed to improve academic and household chore performance through a weekly monitoring system. Tutorial/Academic Assistance Program works with educators and educational organizations to provide academic support to students. Health and Wellness Program assists youngsters in understanding to importance of nutrition and exercise. 1-800 GIVEBACK™
